Dear Church Family and Friends,
This Sunday, we will pray for and honor our graduates! We have 13 students graduating from high school this year and several finishing college. Graduation season is a great time for us to remember to pray for these young men and women as they begin the next season of their lives.
Praying for our grads is another practical way for us to continue the vow that many of us made to assist the parents in the Christian nurture of their children. I thought I would offer some specific ways that we can pray for them.
Pray that they would grow in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man. (Luke 2:52)
Pray that they would grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18)
Pray that they would be rooted in the faith, established in the church, and abound in their relationship with Jesus. (Colossians 2:6-7)
Pray that the Lord would bring them a godly spouse. (Proverbs 18:22)
Pray that the Lord would give them a calling so they may be useful in His kingdom. (2 Timothy 4:11)
It is a joy and an honor for us to pray for and encourage these young men and women as they embark on their next adventure. May God use them in His kingdom!
See you Sunday!
by His grace and to His praise,
Pastor Wilson
