Newsletter October 10, 2025
Dear Church Family and Friends,
Fall is here, and that means we are now in the last quarter of the year as the season changes. There are many church activities coming up that I hope you will take advantage of. It is also not too soon for us to start thinking about next summer! I wanted to let you know that Cornerstone will be going back to serve with two of our mission partners next summer, Sacred Road Ministries and Quiet Waters.
On Wednesday, October 29, at 7:15 pm, after Foundations, we will be having an informational meeting about two opportunities to go on a mission trip in the summer of 2026. Maybe you are thinking, "There is no way I can go on a mission trip next summer!" That's ok! You can still come because we need the WHOLE church family to be involved in these opportunities. There is a way that everyone can be involved by either going, praying, or giving. Consider how God may be calling you to serve?
For many summers, Cornerstone has sent a team out West to serve with Sacred Road Ministries on the Yakama Indian Reservation in Washington State. Last summer, we sent a team to serve on the Warm Springs Reservation in Oregon. This summer, from May 30 - June 6, 2026, we are sending a team back to Warm Springs to assist SRM in church planting, mercy ministry, and outreach.
Additionally, for many summers, Cornerstone has been involved in disability ministry by serving at a family retreat to minister to families affected by disability. For the second summer, Cornerstone is going back to serve at the Quiet Waters Family Retreat at Camp McDowell in Nauvoo, AL. The retreat is scheduled for June 7-12, 2026.
Please consider joining us at the information meeting on October 29th to learn more about both of these trips. These opportunities are open to members of Cornerstone. The Sacred Road trip is open for ages 16 and up. 13-15-year-olds can come with a parent. The Quiet Waters Family Retreat is open to all families and individuals (ages 13 and below need to be accompanied by a parent). Make sure you check out the videos from last summer below!
I hope you can make it to the informational meeting. See you Sunday!
