Dear Church Family and Friends,
A few updates ...
Please be in prayer for the Session of Cornerstone Presbyterian Church this weekend, as we will hold our annual Elders Retreat for strategic planning and prayer. Pray that the Lord would give us guidance and wisdom as we seek His will for the life and ministry of Cornerstone. Pray that God would use the time to help us continue the mission of Cornerstone to be a community of Christ's followers who worship, grow, and serve together to glorify God. I am grateful to be able to serve with such godly, humble leaders.
We are on a final push of asking people to consider serving on a summer mission trip. We have 5 spots available for the Warm Springs trip with Sacred Road Ministries on May 30-June 6, and plenty of spots for folks to join the team to serve at the Quiet Waters Family Retreat. If you are interested or would like more information, please contact the church office.
FOUNDATIONS beings THIS week. If you have never joined us on Wednesday night for food, fellowship, and discipleship, please come! It is a wonderful time mid-week to be together and grow together. Please learn about all the opportunities in the announcements below. And don’t forget to RSVP!
We are back in the Gospel of Matthew this new year in our sermon series. It has been a rich study to consider Jesus' earthly ministry while "he went throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction among the people." (Matthew 4:23 ESV) This week, we will consider Matthew 8:23-27, where Jesus performs a nature miracle -- not so we would be amazed, but so that we might believe and have faith in Him!

Pray for church members caring for family - Susan Dupré, Deborah Fitzsimmons, Tim Kauffman, Kyle Mosier, Paul Poppe, Kim Sweatt, Paul and Christina Wendorf.
Pray for healing - Tom Armstrong, Hart Barham, Bill and Suzi Bolton, Karen Canevaro, Dawn Chenault, Val Myers, Tim and Gayle Ricks, Libby Stanfield, Annette Sweatt, and others.

Pray for our student ministry - pray for our students and chaperones as they travel to the ROOTS Retreat next weekend. Pray they would grow in their love for Jesus and one another. Pray for our speaker, Rev. Davis Sweatt, that God would speak through him.

Live Streaming - Our live stream for both services is available in the Gathering Room, Nursing Mothers’ Room (located in the Nursery), and Fellowship Hall.
Senior High SNF - This Sunday, January 18, 6:30-8 pm at the Poe’s home.
Foundations- Begins Wednesday, January 21. Join us for a fellowship meal at 5:30 pm, followed by discipleship classes for all ages from 6:15-7:15 PM. Nursery is provided. RSVP HERE!

New Members Class - Begins Sunday, February 1, and meets during the Sunday School hour in the FLC. If you’re interested in becoming a member or learning more about Cornerstone, please email the church office to sign up.
