Newsletter January 30, 2026
Dear Church Family and Friends,
This week, our dear friend and brother, Bill Bolton, went home to be with Jesus. Bill was 93 years old! Bill and Suzi were married for 63 years and were a great example to us all of a godly, faithful marriage that reflected Christ's love for His church.
“Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Blessed indeed,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!” (Revelation 14:13 ESV)
In May of this past year, Bill participated in our Rocket City Legends Men's Dinner. It was wonderful to hear stories about his career, his family, and his faith in Christ. The Boltons are some of the original Presbyterians in Huntsville, Alabama, who got the PCA started here! Additionally, they helped found Westminster Christian Academy. Bill will be missed, but his legacy and faith in Christ will live on.

Please be in prayer for Suzi and her two adult sons as they mourn the loss of Bill and as they make plans and preparations for the future.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 1:00 pm at the Laughlin Funeral Home Chapel. More details will follow in the coming days.
Bill's passing is a reminder to me of how incredibly blessed we are at Cornerstone to have couples like Bill and Suzi who have walked faithfully with Christ for so long. I HIGHLY encourage you to get to know some of our Senior Saints at Cornerstone, for God has put them in our lives and in our church to be an example to us so that we can learn from their lives of faithfulness and how they are finishing well.
To that end, our Women's Ministry is doing a fantastic job serving our widows and seasoned saints. This will be the third year that they have reached out to our widows and women who might need extra love and encouragement by delivering small treat bags. A list of items to be donated can be found on this sign-up. Additionally, pairs of women may sign up to deliver and spend some time with the recipient of a gift bag. More information regarding Valentine's Bags can be found here.
See you Sunday!
by His grace and to His praise,

Upcoming Birmingham Theological Seminary Live Class
I wanted to let you know about an upcoming live seminary class being offered in Huntsville. As you may know, BTS is working hard to bring live seminary classes to your area, and we are excited to announce that BTS President Ike Reeder will be teaching Christ and Culture in a hybrid Saturday format at Summit Crossing Community Church.
I have attached a PDF flyer and a social media ad with all the details if you would like to share it with your church or add it to your bulletin board or social feed. The class can be taken for credit, or anyone can sit in on the class to get a “taste of BTS.”
Please let me know if you have any questions, and we look forward to offering future classes in Huntsville through a variety of local churches.
In Christ,
Dave Latham
Chief Admissions and Communications Officer
