Newsletter May 1, 2026

Dear Church Family and Friends,

It's hard to believe that it is now May and summer is almost here! There are a lot of church-life events coming up, from the Men's Steak Dinner, VBS, mission trips, youth activities, Women's summer Gospel discussion groups, and more. Please consider ways you can plug into the body life at Cornerstone this summer.

Over the next few Sundays, we will wrap up Matthew 11. It's all culminating in those most gracious and comforting words from our Lord Jesus when he says, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30 ESV)

Beginning May 24, we will resume our summer sermon series in the Psalms. We will pick back up in Psalm 97. I'm looking forward to this series for several reasons:

  1. The Psalms give us language to pray.

  2. The Psalms give us language to relate to and minister to our brothers and sisters going through hard things.

  3. The Psalms help us worship!

These are just a few of the reasons. It is a great pleasure and blessing to study God's Word with you each week!

See you Sunday!

by His grace and to His praise,

Pastor Wilson
