Newsletter October 24, 2025

Dear Church Family and Friends,

This past week, we made the exciting announcement that twelve men have been put forward by the Session as eligible to be elected to church office, five for Ruling Elder and seven for Deacon. This list was sent out to communing members of Cornerstone along with important information about a called congregational meeting on Sunday, November 23. We praise God for His provision of these men. Please be in prayer for these men and their families. If you are a Cornerstone member and did not receive any information, please contact the church office to ensure we have your updated contact information.

I wanted to remind you all again that Cornerstone is planning to partner again for the summer of 2026 with two of our mission partners. Teams will be returning to serve at the Quiet Waters Family Retreat and with Sacred Road Ministries on the Warm Springs reservation in Oregon. On Wednesday, October 29, at 7:15 pm, after Foundations, there will be an interest meeting for these opportunities. Please come and find out how God may be calling you to support these opportunities.

This Sunday, we will conclude the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 7:28-29. This has been a wonderful study. We will continue our sermon series in Matthew, starting to look at the Miracles of Jesus in chapter 8. Advent will begin on November 30 and our Advent sermon series will be on Psalms of the Nativity -- looking at different Psalms that point us to the Messiah.

See you Sunday!

by His grace and to His praise,

Pastor Wilson

MTW 2026 Summer Internship Opportunities

One strategic way your church can help address the world's need for more workers is to mobilize the younger generation. They are the future of global missions.

In recent years, many career missionaries have retired, but there haven't been enough new workers to take their place. The need for younger generations to take up the torch and continue taking the gospel to the nations is urgent.

A good first step in discipling the young leaders in your congregation toward missions is to encourage them to do a short period of service—like a summer internship.

MTW 2026 summer internship opportunities are now open. They are designed to give participants a taste for global missions and help them discover who God is shaping them to be.

We are praying God will raise up 100 young adults and college students to serve in 16 locations this upcoming summer. Will you partner with us by pointing promising candidates in your church to this opportunity?

Whether God calls them long-term or uses this experience to strengthen their service here at home, an MTW summer internship is a powerful way the Holy Spirit forms the next generation of kingdom workers.

Know a good candidate?

Forward this email to them or have them get started by filling out our pre-application form. Questions? Email go@mtw.org.

We are ready and excited to work with you and your church to send an additional 1% of our PCA church members to the mission field. May God's kingdom come, and may He use our efforts to His glory.
