Newsletter October 31, 2025

Dear Church Family and Friends,

Fall is here, and that means we are now in the last quarter of the year as the season changes. There are many church activities coming up that I hope you will take advantage of. It is also not too soon for us to start thinking about next summer! I wanted to let you know that Cornerstone will be going back to serve with two of our mission partners next summer, Sacred Road Ministries and Quiet Waters.

Maybe you are thinking, "There is no way I can go on a mission trip next summer!" That's ok! You can still come because we need the WHOLE church family to be involved in these opportunities. There is a way that everyone can be involved by either going, praying, or giving. Consider how God may be calling you to serve?

For many summers, Cornerstone has sent a team out West to serve with Sacred Road Ministries on the Yakama Indian Reservation in Washington State. Last summer, we sent a team to serve on the Warm Springs Reservation in Oregon. This summer, from May 30 - June 6, 2026, we are sending a team back to Warm Springs to assist SRM in church planting, mercy ministry, and outreach.

Additionally, for many summers, Cornerstone has been involved in disability ministry by serving at a family retreat to minister to families affected by disability. For the second summer, Cornerstone is going back to serve at the Quiet Waters Family Retreat at Camp McDowell in Nauvoo, AL.  The retreat is scheduled for June 7-12, 2026

Please take the time to review the informational material below for each mission trip. These opportunities are open to members of Cornerstone. The Sacred Road trip is open for ages 16 and up. 13-15-year-olds can come with a parent. The Quiet Waters Family Retreat is open to all families and individuals (ages 13 and below need to be accompanied by a parent). Make sure you check out the videos from last summer below!

See you Sunday!

by His grace and to His praise,

MTW 2026 Summer Internship Opportunities

One strategic way your church can help address the world's need for more workers is to mobilize the younger generation. They are the future of global missions.

In recent years, many career missionaries have retired, but there haven't been enough new workers to take their place. The need for younger generations to take up the torch and continue taking the gospel to the nations is urgent.

A good first step in discipling the young leaders in your congregation toward missions is to encourage them to do a short period of service—like a summer internship.

MTW 2026 summer internship opportunities are now open. They are designed to give participants a taste for global missions and help them discover who God is shaping them to be.

We are praying God will raise up 100 young adults and college students to serve in 16 locations this upcoming summer. Will you partner with us by pointing promising candidates in your church to this opportunity?

Whether God calls them long-term or uses this experience to strengthen their service here at home, an MTW summer internship is a powerful way the Holy Spirit forms the next generation of kingdom workers.

Know a good candidate?

Forward this email to them or have them get started by filling out our pre-application form. Questions? Email go@mtw.org.

We are ready and excited to work with you and your church to send an additional 1% of our PCA church members to the mission field. May God's kingdom come, and may He use our efforts to His glory.
