Newsletter November 7, 2025

Dear Cornerstone Family,

This week, I wanted to highlight one of our ministry partners. The Huntsville Assistance Program (HAP) provides emergency food pantry and financial assistance services to those in need in our community. Many people in our church have a heart to serve those in need in our community, but do not know how to go about doing it. HAP is a great ministry for you to get involved in if you feel a pull towards such service.  HAP is led by experts who have extensive knowledge and expertise in serving our community in this way. However, they are always in need of volunteers, food donations, and other financial support. If you are interested in reaching out to fellow image bearers in Madison County, I encourage you to visit the HAP website.

Also, we will celebrate the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper together on Sunday morning. Please be preparing your hearts and minds to receive the Lord Jesus Christ spiritually in the sacrament.  What a great grace of our Lord that he gives us a tangible promise of his love for us that helps us grow in assurance. If you are a believer in Jesus Christ and a member of an evangelical church, but you struggle to know whether God actually loves you or not, the Lord’s Supper is meant to help you know Him better.  Taste and see that the Lord is good!

See you Sunday,

Pastor John

MTW 2026 Summer Internship Opportunities

One strategic way your church can help address the world's need for more workers is to mobilize the younger generation. They are the future of global missions.

In recent years, many career missionaries have retired, but there haven't been enough new workers to take their place. The need for younger generations to take up the torch and continue taking the gospel to the nations is urgent.

A good first step in discipling the young leaders in your congregation toward missions is to encourage them to do a short period of service—like a summer internship.

MTW 2026 summer internship opportunities are now open. They are designed to give participants a taste for global missions and help them discover who God is shaping them to be.

We are praying God will raise up 100 young adults and college students to serve in 16 locations this upcoming summer. Will you partner with us by pointing promising candidates in your church to this opportunity?

Whether God calls them long-term or uses this experience to strengthen their service here at home, an MTW summer internship is a powerful way the Holy Spirit forms the next generation of kingdom workers.

Know a good candidate?

Forward this email to them or have them get started by filling out our pre-application form. Questions? Email go@mtw.org.

We are ready and excited to work with you and your church to send an additional 1% of our PCA church members to the mission field. May God's kingdom come, and may He use our efforts to His glory.
