Click here to RSVP for Thanksgiving Fellowship, on Sunday, November 16!

Dear Church Family and Friends,

Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!  (1 Chronicles 16:34 ESV)

We are now in a season of Thanksgiving. Have you ever considered what Thanksgiving means? I love Matthew Henry's "run-on" definition here:

Our errand at the throne of grace is not only to seek the favor of God, but to ascribe to him the glory due his name, and that, not only by an awful adoration of his infinite perfections, but by a grateful acknowledgment of his goodness to us, which cannot indeed add anything to his glory, but he is pleased to accept of it and to reckon himself glorified by it, if it comes from a heart that is humbly sensible of its own unworthiness to receive any favor from God, that values the gifts and loves the Giver of them.

This Sunday, please join us after the second service for a Thanksgiving Fellowship. We have much to be thankful for as a church family. Chief among them is God's goodness to allow us to complete our campus improvement project this year! This Sunday, we are especially giving thanks for this, and we have invited some of our church neighbors who adjoin our property as a way of saying thanks to them for their endurance during construction. Please greet them and say "thank you" this Sunday!

We are also nearing the holidays, and that means Advent will be here soon! The First Sunday of Advent is November 30. This year, our Advent sermon series will be on the Psalms of the Nativity. We will study various Psalms that will help us worship our LORD and give praise to God for the incarnation of Jesus the Messiah.

See you Sunday!

by His grace and to His praise,

Pastor Wilson
