Dear Cornerstone Family:
This Sunday, we will welcome Rev. Jeph Guinan, Director of the Alabama Church Planting Network (ACPN), for a Missions Moment. The ACPN works with two Presbyteries in Alabama, Evangel Presbytery in Central Alabama and Providence Presbytery in North Alabama.
We have supported ACPN and Jeph for several years, and have also come alongside to support church plants in our Presbytery. Wilson and I both have worked with Rev. Guinan when we served on the MNA committee of Presbytery, and we are looking forward to his being with us on Sunday.
For some time now, there have been informal discussions about Cornerstone planting a daughter church in the future. Recently, the Session established a Church Planting Committee (Elders Michael Butler, Keith Klemmer, Paul Wendorf, and Pastor Brian Russ) to begin gathering information and laying groundwork for future plans. Providentially, the committee will have its first meeting on Sunday, and Rev. Guinan will be able to be there as a resource.
Currently, there are two active church plants that we support in our Presbytery: Good Shepherd PCA in Madison (Rev. Nathan White) and Hope City PCA in Huntsville (Rev. Amos Williams). Additionally, Grace Fellowship PCA in Albertville is planting a Hispanic Church, Christ Our Refuge (Rev. Mark Berry).
Please pray for guidance and wisdom as we begin this committee work and continue to pray for other current and future church plants in our Presbytery.

Pray for healing - Tom Armstrong, Suzi Bolton, Karen Canevaro, Dawn Chenault, Val Myers, Tim and Gayle Ricks, Libby Stanfield, Annette Sweatt, and Alan Ware.

Pray for our men’s ministry as they travel to Mentone, AL, this coming weekend for the Men’s Retreat. May the Lord bless their time together as they worship, study the Word, and fellowship with one another.

Foundations- Continues this Wednesday, February 18. Join us for a fellowship meal at 5:30 pm, followed by discipleship classes for all ages from 6:15-7:15 PM. Nursery is provided. RSVP HERE!

Junior High Sunday Night Fellowship - Join us for fellowship and discussion next Sunday, February 22, at 6:30 pm at the Powell’s home.
Mission Trip Registration - Contact Morgan High or Jackie Edmondson to register for Quiet Waters Family Retreat (June 7-12) to serve families affected by disabilities. Contact the church office to register for Warm Springs (May 30-June 6) to serve with Sacred Road.

Disaster Response Training
Mike Kennamer, DR Warehouse and Regional Director, will be at Presbytery on Tuesday, February 3, to present the event to the gathered. Presbytery is at Cornerstone with worship starting at 9:00 am.
